Soft Washing for Roofs, Render & Exterior Surfaces
Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to treat algae, lichen and organic staining at the root, rather than forcing it off with water pressure.
It suits surfaces that high pressure would damage — render, K-rend, painted masonry, cladding, conservatory roofs and many tiled roofs.
Soft washing is carried out across Blackpool and the Fylde area, and a wider area up to around 50 miles from base.
Soft washing cleans a surface at low pressure using a solution that breaks down organic growth, instead of relying on force to blast it off.
It suits everything that a pressure washer would damage — render, K-Rend, roof tiles, conservatory roofs, fascias, cladding and UPVC. On living growth it also tends to hold its result longer than mechanical cleaning.

Soft washing vs pressure washing
Pressure washing removes what is on the surface using force. It is the right tool for concrete, flags and block paving. On render or a roof tile it can leave permanent marks, strip texture or push water where it should not go.
Soft washing relies on the solution rather than the force. Growth is killed off, so the surface stays cleaner for longer instead of the green returning within months.

What is involved
Plants, drains and adjacent surfaces are considered first. The solution is applied at low pressure, given time to work, and rinsed where the surface calls for it. Some results appear immediately; on heavy organic staining the surface keeps clearing over the following days.
